Our counsel offer a genuine London and Geneva standard of service. Much of our work involves English law, although through experience we have in-depth knowledge of other jurisdictions. We regularly work on cross-border deals, instructing and leading local counsel where required. Accordingly, whether you are contemplating a prepayment for copper concentrate from Chile into China or plan to deliver wheat into Africa, we are able to help.
It would be quite nice if all disputes could be resolved amicably; but truth is that contentious matters are not uncommon at all in the commodities industry. We do advise on disputes and arbitrations, including in the LCIA and SIAC. Typically, those disputes might involve defaulted prepayments or failure to deliver.
